Jørgen Mads Clausen
Jørgen Mads Clausen (born 23 September 1948) is the chairman of the board of Danfoss, the large Danish heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning company started by his father, Mads Clausen. He is also the chairman of DI, the association of the Danish Industry, and has a sizeable investment in the WaveStar wave energy project.
Education
[edit]Clausen graduated as a civil engineer from the Technical University of Denmark in 1972 and received an MBA from the University of Wisconsin in 1975.[1][2]
Career
[edit]In 1996, Clausen became chief executive of Danfoss, his family's company, its first since his father Mads.[1] He stepped down as CEO in 2008 and transitioned to the role of chairman.[3] He vacated the role on March 25, 2022 after a career as one of the most celebrated business leaders in Denmark.[4] The Clausen family continued to control the company.[5]
Honors
[edit]Clausen has been made an honorary citizen of Nordborg in Alsace and Tianjin, China and a Knight of the 1st Class of the Norwegian Order of St. Olav in addition to multiple honors in his native Denmark.[6]

Personal life
[edit]He flies himself in a Cessna Citation V and is a big-game hunter.[1][10]
